The logistics real estate investment specialist LIP Invest has appointed Daniel Pahl (42) as General Counsel and Head of Transaction Management.

Mr Pahl will be responsible for all buying and selling activities at LIP, including the legal and financial structuring of acquisitions of existing properties, project developments and sites, as well as managing the due diligence processes. He will also be responsible for fund financing. As an experienced lawyer and real estate economist (IRE|BS) he has extensive knowledge of real estate law and financial and transaction management gained from working in reputable law firms, a leading investment manager as well as at Germany’s largest property developer at the time.
Daniel Pahl, as a lawyer admitted to the bar in Germany, holds a Master of Arts in International Relations and Economics from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in Washington, D.C., in addition to a degree in Real Estate Economics (IRE|BS). Pahl worked as a lawyer for the Frankfurt law firm AC Tischendorf and most recently for Bethge real estate lawyers in Hanover. Prior to joining LIP, he was a leading advisor in real estate transactions and legal asset management. In addition, Pahl has extensive corporate experience in the real estate industry: At Hochtief, he comprehensively advised the management of the real estate development division (today Instone) on project developments and property sales to institutional investors. At Patrizia, Pahl worked on the European expansion of the Augsburg-based investment house and coordinated the establishment of various international branches. He also managed projects in the areas of M&A, product development, regulatory and financial market supervision.

There are six objects in the acquisition process at the moment with an investment volume of €75m. Including these current purchases, the LIP funds now hold a total of 28 properties. By creating this role, LIP Invest is reacting to the rapidly expanding business and market potential.
